Core Score Predictor

I conducted research to build a predictive logistic model to estimate the odds of passing the Core Exam based on multiple variables related to a resident’s demography, resources, preparedness, and perception. I had 275+ respondents who donated their performance and preparedness data. I published the manuscript in JACR.

The simple score predictor on this page is 100% data driven. Each variable is highly statistically significant in predicting the outcome according to my data analysis. The calculator utilizes a linear regression model.

 

You may wonder why factors like months of study, protected study time, study resources, type of program...etc are not included? The short answer is that this model was constructed by using the “Backward Elimination Method”. Refer to my published manuscript to get the long answer if you are really itching to know the details.
